I've experimented with my Fujifilm Finepix x-100 camera, indoors, in ambient light to see what I get and how to edit.
This year, I plan to begin using my "new"camera more frequently !!
( I think yesterday's and tomorrow's shots are stronger pics, but I decided this little bear needed his moment in the limelight, too. )

The bear looks as though he has made an early start on the party . . and I see the cake is now cut ! As I think I have had occasion to Comment here before, that is a very capable camera you are using.

Are you using the same white balance setting for both of these pictures?
This has a slight yellow cast and yesterday's has a pronounced blueish cast, both easily corrected in Camera RAW or by using the grey eye dropper tool in a levels adjustment in Photoshop.

Keep the bear away from the cake. Pretty shot.

He is a love and I am looking backwards. Thought that was who showed up ghostly by that powerful cake which I can nearly smell!
