busy in bed . . .

What has my world come to? I'd never have predicted I'd end up reading in bed on a Nook Color e-book reader (with a hands-free stand), or following iphone photography on Instagram, or posting photos on my own Instagram feed any time I happened to have a sleepless moment.

I'm happily addicted to my electronic tools now !! And I'm not complaining !! :-)

There was a recent meeting of all the literati and glitterati of the novel publishing world here in the UK. The big topic of discussion was "Is there a future for the novel". They concluded there was, but that it would still be printed word on paper. I don't think so!" 50 shades of grey" was a hit simply because it was mainly available in e-book format. Therefore people(Mainly female) could download it without it being obvious that it was soft porn. Porn or not, the future is electronic, not paper, IMHO.

Romantism disappear with paper beauty ;) But a good documentary on our modern times (i love paper too much, i admit but your sheets evoke the blank page, so... ;) Super compo.

Bravo Dulcie tu as tout dit de notre époque en une image. Seule la sensualité des draps de qualité et les lunettes de vue disent que la photographe est d'un autre temps.... :-))

Digital life is a strange and fascinating thing, so long as we don't become slaves to the machine.

This is the big challenge today; how to get enough sleep every night when technology is luring you just a touch away. Smartphone/ebook in bed is the new version of reading in bed I guess. Except that smartphone devices are back-lit and keep throwing new dynamic content at you constantly.

On the other hand, I have been injured by having a 350 page hard cover book falling on my face. My phone has not injured me yet :)
