Helen from Melbourne, Australia

Congrats Dulcie! I really like this processing technique, as per yesterday's post. Perhaps this one is a smidgen strong on the textured vignette?

6 Jan 2012 8:58am

@Helen: I had some indecision here heavy should I make the vignette to make my point? Yes, I may have overdone it...thanks for letting me know your view, thanks for commenting, Helen. :-)

Note: This cameras performance is greatly enhanced by a UHC class SD card, and turn everything not absolutely necessary to "OFF". You'll love the EVF at night.

I like the expressions on this group, and your processing to focus the eye on the center of the image is an interesting take on vignetting.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

I like what you did with this one. Sure, you could have cropped it to focus on the family. But, this is much better.

Elaine Hancock from Rockville, United States

This is wonderful! Great processing! How did you do it?

6 Jan 2012 11:02pm

@Elaine Hancock: Thanks Elaine....I finished this shot with Nik's Color Effex Pro 4, vignette blur, and fiddled with the settings 'til I achieved what I wanted. :-) i love you comments AND your photo site !!

Phil David Morris 2011 from Saskatoon, New York, Canada

This is very beautiful, so clever, and so much thought must have gone through your
head as you decided how to present this in the best possible way. Love how you have
paved the way for the photo to express itself perfectly. Excellent !

This is so funny and cute! I love the high-key processing, too.

11 Jan 2012 5:02pm

karla from Omaha, United States

I love this one, not only the expressiveness of the people, but also the processing. The vignette as mentioned above might seem too much by some, but I was so focused on the people, that I really did not at first think about the vignette. Maybe just a bit more feathering....? All in all, I feel it is a successful image!

13 Jan 2012 5:10pm

Susan from Sausalito, United States

Hi Dulcie...I love this one...I'd rather drink poison than go to Costco, but you've made it look quite wonderful here...wonderful frame and the family is marvelous.
