the road to petaluma : red truck

Posted by
DULCIE (Danville, CA, United States) on 15 September 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is an example of the farms along this route, many of which contain parts and equipment
and, in this case, a bright red truck.

As with all of the photos in this series, this image is shot with my iPhone set to the Hipstamatic App. "The Hipstamatic for iPhone is an application that brings back the look, feel, unpredictable beauty, and fun of plastic toy cameras from the past". Thanks for the quote Ronnie.

Nice farm with some expensive equipment, they are definitely trying to make
a go of it. Beautiful summer photo, and your work, shows the colours beautifully.

George Bottarrini—at one time the largest milk hauler in CA—had a ranch near here. He called worn out trucks...kits which I thought interesting. He also had 1,000 acres of coast line just South of Bodega and gave me a key to the gate, which I found "very" interesting ; ] best…jf

@ordinaryimages: :-) I like this story !!

Another really cool rural shot. Having grown up on a farm, I've found I have a deeper appreciation for the land and those who till it than I would have imagined. I decided at an early age that the farm life was not for me. Also, these iPhone photos are brilliant. Great work! I can hardly wait to get an iPhone.
