the road to petaluma : fenced in

Posted by
DULCIE (Danville, CA, United States) on 13 September 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

So, the varied sights are flying passed the window as we're heading down the road to Petaluma. I pull out my iphone, set it to the Hipstamatic app, and start clicking away. I'm happily occupied, like a little kid with her nosed pressed to the window, for the whole trip !! :-)
"The Hipstamatic for iPhone is an application that brings back the look, feel, unpredictable beauty, and fun of plastic toy cameras from the past". I don't know the source of this quote, but it was brought to me by Ronnie. Thanks R. :-)

The hipstamatic app is really funky!. I've got it but never used it because I would prefer it to provide a "Unfiidled with" pic as well as the one that comes after the Hipsta processing, that way if the PP isn't to my liking , I can go back to the original

13 Sep 2011 11:24am

@CElliottUK: Yup...it doesn't seem to provide that feature. Once you choose the particular Hipsta lens and film type you're committed. :-)

The flat summer on the countryside and covers it with deep colors under the sun.

Looks like the road to Heaven to me ....Just a wonderful shot, here and I really like the vignetted upper corners to give this that "old timey travel look ;-) This is really cool....Petaluma is cool, or at least it used to be when I went there...As always, a beautiful image, Dulcie;-)

I remember the rich folks near the highway had fences built like this instead of treated
tree posts and barbed wire. Wonderful light and bright colors bring this beauty to life.
