farmer's market vendor - 4

Danville, CA ~

This older vendor had great strength and hefted boxes with almost youthful energy ! Shadows, wrinkles and sun damage made wonderful textures across her face, which I emphasized with a touch of "posterizing" in Photoshop.

interesting processing, it reminds of the old .gifs that only had 256 colors. haha, I think it worked really well with this vendor

She knows who she’s only on the outside...the processing makes that point clear IMHO

The beauty is there, also : in the old age, in this soft glance and the attitude, in this face which lived.

i agree with chris, it does remind me of a .gif, and also strangely, of a stamp. i like the simplicity of the picture, how its just a picture of an everyday thing, yet turned into something interesting, basically the job of a photographer. very nicee =]

un portrait original et coloré comme une BD ancienne.

I like her face but not fan of the strong pp, but that's a choice (yours, and that's the most important ! ;), she seems tired & i like the natural of her attitude.

That hat is a nice fashion accessory! She looks wonderful, like a wonderful person. A lot of heart and soul in that face that has seen years. Great capture of a beautiful person!

I like the pictures posterized but the success of the operation depends heavily on photography. In this case it is a discrete posterized that emphasizes the features and gives them more volume. The picture is excellent as well as the colors! Very Good shot! Best regards, Adela

Fascinating...intriguing...inspiring...not afraid to bare her time-worn body...lived through many a storm and obstacle...keep on keeping on. But how bad a hair day can it be when you have to wear a stocking hat with your sundress?!?
