men at work: gathering shopping carts

Danville CA ~
Sub-context - plaid .... the plaid design of the man's shirt and the 'plaid' of the carts.
At our local big-box store, a man gathers the shopping carts from throughout the parking lot, and then pushes a train of them sometimes 30 feet long back to the entrance of the store.

Great focus and perspective! It's the focus on the close cart that makes this image so evocative. The silence and simplicity of the cart, and the blurred action in the background. It's peaceful and active by implication.

The patterns on his shirt & the trolleys in your compo, that is very clever and makes for a very personal image i like a lot.

I really love seeing you branching out in so many different directions all of a sudden (it seems to me). What happened? I like the grainy, blurred feeling in the image.....just like the gritty working-class subject itself. Anyone familiar with your work knows none of this happens by accident.

@JOEMULLIGAN: Well, thanks for being so supportive and understanding of my fledgling efforts. I sometimes wish I had one identifiable photographic style, but that's premature, now, when I am still learning what I and my camera can do .... so I keep experimenting ! And sometimes, when I am just SURE that I've posted a photo that is going to bomb, I'm surprised to log on in the morning and see that someone else "got" what I was trying to do !! :-) Thanks so much, Joe !!
