Sunol, CA ~ montage
Near the town's train station, I took a shot of the railroad crossing signal arm....
A while later a freight train ratcheted by, and I was just in time to get a shot of the caboose. This was the result.

I like this! At first I thought it was a double exposure. The sharpness against the blur is perfect and great reflection of colours.

Very cool shot . I am trying to figure out if this is a layered shot or just simply sign with speeding train :))
Whatever you did - it looks cool !

@MARIANA: Thanks for your comments, Mariana. When I post a montage I try to remember to put a short explanation under the Title: in this case I layered two photos---one of the moving train and one of the signal arm. ;-)

Bishop from Houston, United States

So is this a ghost of the train on the signal shot and not a double exposure or layering in photoshop? Nice result anyway! :)

29 Oct 2009 10:22pm

@Bishop: This is two moving train: one RR signal arm.... then I layered them together---Voila my montage :-) Thanks very much for viewing and commenting, Bishop.

My response to seeing this "action shot" was to hold down my imaginary hat so it wouldn't blow off my head.
