A tree in my neighborhood is currently loaded with tight masses of white blossoms that look, to my untrained eye, like they might be dogwood.
If anyone knows their name, I would be happy to hear it. If you have a critique of this black and white photo, I would be more than grateful for that as well.
Your critique of my photos is most appreciated. . . . .

@Manuela M: Thank you for your lovely comment!
@Vachel: Glad you think so. I'll keep experimenting with B&W.
@Anna.C: Glad you think it works. So glad for your comment.
@Veronelle: Ah, the stamp of approval...I appreciate it!
@ordinaryimages: Ooops! I never knew there was such a thing as "botanical correctness." But you would be sorely tempted to break your policy if you saw these beauties. And your B&W take would be interesting to see! ;-)
@Nina: I appreciate hearing that...
@john4jack: Very glad for your comment!
@Sarah: Yes, some days are quieter than others ;-) Thanks.
@wendy: Good question. They only JUST came into bloom and are different than most Dogwood tress I have seen. There are masses and masses blooming on one rather large tree. Actually too many to photograph well....they all just jumble together.
@Momo: Your wonderful critique has spurred me on to try new things! Working with black and white and with "noise" is something I have yearned to do but didn't know how. Your remarks sent me to studying my PhotoShop for Dummies book---now I am experimenting with abandon with B&W, levels, blur, noise, etc. You have opened doors for me. I am so appreciative! Merci Beaucoup.
