"Tanker Cars"

An afternoon in Martinez offered up a wildlife preserve, trains, marina, funky town, oil refinery and tanker trains, people feeding ducks and flying kites, and much much more. A mother-lode of material for my new telephoto lens.

very nice capture: perhaps we will see the fleet sac delta that has been there for oh-so-long? Love the tanks and the patterns from them here.

@Bill Jennings: Hmmm. Hadn't thought about the mothballed fleet. Wonder if I could get close enough? Think I need to get back to something alive, however. Odd to have the feeling that I need a kind of variety in these photo postings. We can, after all, do it the way it suits us. (Just some musings...)

@Vachel: Thanks. This one had some sort of drama that I liked---and that also made me uncomfortable???

I like the way you framed the tanker cars here. It has a look of industrial strength.

@ZoomLNZ: My thoughts exactly....I thought the tankers said, 'power' but industrial strength has it. In fact, I was going to remove the post, thinking it was too macho. ;-) I gotta get back to flowers!
