Is it the light, is it the color of the flower??? The image is very original !
The shadow of the flower completes this beautiful composition. It's charming, Dulcie.

Super processing on this shot Dulcie! It is hard for the mind to initially equate black and daisy in the same sentence. This is possibly what makes such a visual impact with this shot! 5-stars!!! Bravo! ;-)

What a powerful image. And as often with your flower macros, a threatening/sinister one. I have an image in my mind of a book of your flower close-ups. Only then, I think, with people realize what a unique and important vision you're sharing here. I am reminded of a line by Garcia Lorca in which he described a flower as "half heart, half skull."

Don't think I would buy a bunch of them to brighten up the living room, but I think it's an awesome picture!
Great processing Dulcie:-)

There's something beautiful about the way the light is revealed. Like a sun masked by the elegance for us not to be blinded and fully grasp everything offered. Love the orientation of that eye dressed with petals and the projected graphism of the shadow disputing/sharing the space with the "sun". And a delicate neckline.
Simple and rich.
